About Mary

Mary Fowler’s teachings and writings touch hearts, broaden minds, and help educators and parents turn knowledge into know-what and know-how.

Practical. Positive. Humorous. Empathetic. No-nonsense. Grounded. Wise. These are the words clients and participants use to describe Mary.

Author, advocate, educator and coach, Mary’s expertise has been recognized and widely used by federal government, state and national associations, local school districts, and international organizations.

Her books on ADHD (see publications) have been praised by parents, teachers, peers and the press. Thirteen years as a classroom teacher have given Mary an authentic understanding of the real life
challenges educators and parents face every day.

ADHD is just one of the social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that come to school. Mary works with many other problems that interfere with learning and performance from traumatic stress and anxiety to meltdowns and explosions.

As an on-site consultant and social, emotional, behavioral coach, Mary has helped many teachers with authentic classroom challenges.

Mary doesn’t use band-aid approaches. She draws on positive practices and resilience factors that make meaningful change in the educational lives of learners with challenges, their teachers and their caregivers. She rolls up her sleeves, too. (see coaching and consulting).
