Back in the day, before practically anybody had heard of Attention-deficit

Hyperactivity Disorder, Mary Fowler was at the forefront of a public awareness campaign. Since the mid-1980S, Mary has been writing and teaching educators and parents about ADHD and related problems.

She’s the author of 3 books on ADHD, including the industry best-seller Maybe You Know My Kid. This book broke ground by being the first to tell the intimate personal story of what mothers, children and families go through when a child has ADHD. Maybe You Know My Kid not only revealed the deep struggles. True to character, Mary wanted to be sure that any person reading her book would find the help they needed.

The second part of each chapter provides education, techniques and strategies for coping and managing ADHD at home, at school, and in all social settings.

All of her publications since that first book answer the call to educate and help others struggling with emotional or behavioral issues. Mary has authored numerous book chapters and articles. Her “advice” frequently appears in ADDitude Magazine’s Ask the Expert column.
